The Minnesota Thunder lost their eighth game against the Rochester Rhinos 1-0 Sunday afternoon, keeping them in last place in the First Division standings.

The Carolina RailHawks hosted Mexican First Division Rayados de Monterrey in an international exhibition presented by Futbol Tecate and sponsored by Cricket, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, NC Rail and Golden Corral.

It was a fitting ending to a wonderful career. A boisterous crowd paid tribute to former Silverbacks and Olimpia great Alex Pineda-Chacon Saturday night at Atlanta Silverbacks Park. A weary Silverbacks side, having played an emotional 1-1 draw versus Portland in league play the night before, fell to Olimpia 1-0.
Sounders fall at home to Rhinos 3-1
Former Sounders star Andrew Gregor snapped a 1-1 tie with a goal in the 27th minute, and Matthew Delicate scored on a counterattack breakaway just one minute after subbing into the game midway through the second half as the Rochester Rhinos pinned a 3-1 loss on Seattle at Starfire Sports Complex.
Montreal ends Miami streak 3-1
The Montreal Impact (5-8-3; 18 points) defeated the Miami FC (4-7-8; 20 points) 3-1, Friday in front of 12,913 spectators at Saputo Stadium. The resulted ended a two-game losing streak at home for Montreal and snapped Miami's nine-match unbeaten run that featured eight shutout performances and one goal allowed.
Portland, Atlanta draw 1-1
The Silverbacks eked out a point Friday night at Atlanta Silverbacks Park, playing the Portland Timbers to a 1-1 draw. Scott Buete responded with an injury time goal after the Timbers went ahead in the 90th minute.
Islanders win 2-0 in Carolina
The Carolina RailHawks were defeated by the Puerto Rico Islanders 2-0 on Friday night with goals by Josh Hansen and Fabrice Noel all in the first half.
Battery blank Portland 2-0
The Charleston Battery sits alone at the top of the USL First Division after knocking off the Portland Timbers (5-7-7, 22 points, fifth place) 2-0 in front of 3,542 fans at Blackbaud Stadium Saturday night. First-half goals from Darren Spicer and Stephen Armstrong proved the difference as the Battery complete a five-game homestand on a high note.
Burnley blanks Thunder 2-0
The Minnesota Thunder hosted the Burnley F.C. Clarets Tuesday night in an international friendly that Minnesota hasn’t seen in 30 years. English Championship League team Burnley was on a two game United States tour, playing the Carolina Railhawks last Friday and ending in Minnesota last night. After a 0-0 tie at half, the Clarets pulled ahead to win 2-0 overall.
Timbers top Tigres 2-0
Forward Byron Alvarez tallied a goal and an assist to help the Portland Timbers capture a 2-0 win over Mexican club U.A.N.L. Tigres in an international exhibition match at PGE Park before a spirited crowd of 8,375 on Tuesday.
