Whitecaps release Gregor
VANCOUVER, BC - Whitecaps FC Director of Soccer Operations, Bob Lenarduzzi, announced the release of midfielder Andrew Gregor today. Acquired in the off-season, Gregor played one game for the Whitecaps against the Edmonton Aviators on Friday, April 30th.
"The Whitecaps have released Andrew Gregor for personal reasons," said Bob Lenarduzzi. "This decision was mutually agreed upon by Andrew and the club. His intensity and talent on the field will be missed, we wish him well in his future endeavors."
"The club still has a tremendous amount of depth in the midfield with players like Jeff Clarke, Martin Nash, Steve Kindel, Alfredo Valente, Oliver Heald, John Sulentic, and Dave Morris. We are confident that we have the necessary talent in our line-up to succeed."
The Whitecaps next game is Friday, May 7th versus Minnesota - 7:00pm at Swangard Stadium.
